ONLY the "current high bid" at the close of the lots will be used to determine if the lot will be sold in bulk or individually. Also, higher proxy amounts have no value in determining the total of all individual lots in comparison to the winning Bulk Bid. Individual lots that do not meet the reserve will count as $0.00 toward the individual lot total. The Individual lots win if the sum of the individual lots’ closing bids is greater than the Bulk Bid closing bid. The Bulk Bid wins if its closing bid is greater than or equal to the sum of the individual lot closing bids. That determines if the lot(s) will be sold in bulk or individually. After the lots close, the Bulk Bid closing bid is compared to the sum of the individual lots closing bids. If your high bid is not exceeded by the end of the Auction, then you win the lot.ĪDVANTAGES: Should your schedule prevent you from participating near the closing of an Auction, your "Proxy Bid" quickly bids on your behalf. If a competing bidder bids again, proxy bidding continues until your "Max Proxy Bid" of $500 is exceeded by a bid from a competing bidder. When a competing bidder bids $150, the system again automatically places a next increment bid of $175 for you, making you the high bidder again. Your Proxy Bid automatically raises your bid to the next minimum bid amount, which in this example is $125, and thus makes you the current high bidder.
